A doctorate & respected academician in Botany and environment, Dr. Chaphekar is a recognized & well known botanist. He has been a Faculty and head of botany department for the Pune University, Pondicherry University, Institute of Science, etc. Dr. Chaphekar has authored more than 80 publications & over 12 research reports on environment science. He has been awarded with fellowship by many prestigious educational institutes & environment organisations, including National Institute of Ecology, Academy of Environmental Biology, etc.

He has also managed various independent projects for many corporates, Government institutes & environment bodies on various environment issues at a national level.
