Dr. Ashok Chavan completed his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from University of Bombay and Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Kentucky, USA. After which he completed postdoctoral research in protein chemistry and pharmacy at University of Kentucky. He is currently working as Director of Pharmaceutical Operations with Insys Therapeutics, Inc. in Arizona, USA. Prior to that he held positions of increasing responsibilities in research and development, pharmaceutical development, quality and regulatory affairs with BPI Corp, TIGEN Pharmaceuticals, Akorn, Inc. and Oakwood Laboratories. As part of his responsibilities he has interacted with US regulatory agencies such as Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). He is a member of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and Parenteral Drug Association (PDA).
