Dr. Lattoo, a doctorate in botany, is India's leading researcher in the area of plant taxonomy and plant identification, having spent 30 year in the field. He has worked on several environment projects including EIAs and Tree census for multiple organisations such as Nuclear Power Corporation, MITCON, AIC Watson, Government of Maharashtra, University of Mumbai etc.

He has also been a consultant to several Indian and multinational companies and is active member of Friends of Trees, Bombay Natural History Society and WWF-India. His keen interest and expertise in botanical garden designing, forest based industries raw material development and eco-tourism development planning has won him several accolades in India.
