Established in 1998, The Indian Institute of Environmental Medicine is a unique Research institution monitoring environmental degradation and its health effects. It actively promotes safeguards and offers solutions to improve community health. In its pursuit to offer such solutions, it operates six divisions viz. occupational clinic, Asthma Clinic, Industrial workers health check up, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Center, Occupational Rehabilitation Center and Pulmonary Function Testing. It also operates a state of the art Analytical Laboratory with modern equipments such as Atomic absorption spectrophotometer with flame, graphite furnace and hydride generator, Voltammetric analysis system, UV Spectrophotometer, Digital Mercury Analyzer, Thin Layer Chromatograph and Laminar Air-flow bench. The institute offers services such as analysis of biological matter, drugs, solids, water, air, noise pollution etc.
